Though the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, and others have cast doubts on the performance of the car, Oscar Piastri is patient about the development. Piastri highlighted that there would be subtle changes in the car and power unit.

Oscar Piastri hilariously noted that the cars would still look like those of Formula 1. However, he insisted that the power units would be completely different, with power relying more on the electrical side of the engine.

There’ll be some subtle differences, But I think it’s still gonna look like an F1 car, but the engines are gonna be very different. A lot more electrical power versus the combustion engine. And there’s gonna be a lot of things for us as drivers to get used to – a lot of things that we would’ve never had to have done in a race car before in terms of managing that battery power more.
Oscar Piastri noted
The 2026 regulations will certainly put forth a completely different atmosphere for the teams and drivers. None of the teams seems to be the clear favorite so far in terms of performance.
Oscar Piastri hopes to achieve a turnaround in results and finally pick up his maiden title wins in the pinnacle of motorsport. The losses of the 2025 season will only fuel Piastri’s hunger for the championship win even more.
