McLaren missed out on a crucial win at Silverstone after a strategic blunder during the closing stages of the race. In light of this, Oscar Piastri has claimed that the Woking-based team is on a learning curve from their mistakes of the past.
Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been tireless performers for McLaren this campaign. But the papayas have emerged victorious only once this season, despite their astronomical efforts. The team’s advantage on track has been hindered amply by their blunders on numerous occasions henceforth.

The 22-year-old has spoken of McLaren’s capability to battle with the front-running squads this season. Piastri has also said that excuses are not to be made for the team’s mistakes to improve.
Before the rain we weren't the fastest, then we made some mistakes. It isn't an excuse but we're fighting with teams that are used to fight in front, we're learning from our mistakes.Oscar Piastri said at the press conference of the Hungarian GP

McLaren is currently third in the championship and faces the task of catching up to the likes of Red Bull, who lead the title race. Piastri and Co. will now put their best foot forward in nailing their performance around Hungary this weekend.
Lando Norris shows excitement ahead of Hungarian Grand Prix
Lando Norris has decided to put aside the shortcomings of the past ahead of the race this week in Budapest. Norris finished P2 on the podium last year at the Hungaroring and will be eyeing his chances for the win this year.

It’s hot, but it’s a fun circuit – it’s quick in these cars and always a good challenge. I think [it’s] typically one I’ve always performed well at. [I’m] excited to see what we can do. I think the car’s running well, the team are doing a good job, and another chance for us to try to get the most points we can.Lando Norris via F1
Norris has talked of the team’s chances this weekend, deeming Budapest as one of his best-performing venues. The 24-year-old has asserted that McLaren will be keen on a second chance this week after a problematic race at Silverstone.
The Hungarian GP provides a stern challenge to the grid with its medium-paced corners and high temperatures on the circuit. Keeping everything in view, the upcoming practice sessions will hold immense importance.
