I don't think as a team we've really done anything special. We've just got the car in a good window. And with the upgrades, clearly it's performing well. So yeah, I think we're all just taking it up a notch.
Oscar Piastri added.

Oscar Piastri claims he’s taken a ‘good step forward’ since the previous season

Oscar Piastri finished in P9 in the drivers’ championship during his rookie season in F1. The Australian driver was even one-up on his teammate Lando Norris after scoring the sprint win. Hence, Piastri reckoned that there were a few good moments here and there since the start of the season. Additionally, the 24-year-old mentioned that the first few rounds were very promising for the constructor. As a whole, the Australian believes that he has taken a good step forward in multiple areas since the past season. However, Piastri also claimed that he still lacked the consistency to be able to give it his all during a race weekend.

I think there have been good moments here and there, even at the start of the season. I think the first few rounds were quite promising, a couple of difficult races in the middle, but on the whole, I feel like I've taken a good step forward in quite a few areas from last year. I think it's just been the consistency that's really been the missing thing.
Oscar Piastri noted.

The Woking-based team has been continuously closing in on the rival teams in the constructors’ championship. The top order of the teams could put forth a great racing action down the season for the championship. Hence, Piastri and Co. just have to keep up with the in-season upgrades to win the development wars against the competitors.
