McLaren conducted a surprise shakedown session at Silverstone and revealed the MCL39 in a black-camo livery. Oscar Piastri also drove the new challenger around the British circuit to gain important data. The Aussie pointed out his delightment after driving the chassis for the first time ahead of the pre-season testing. Piastri was also content with the one-time black camo livery ahead of the official livery launch at the F1 75 event.

Piastri insisted that he worked hard during the off-season and was ready to battle in the 2025 season. The 24-year-old further reckoned that the battle at the forefront would be extremely tight.
