In the recent race in Hungary, he finished on pole and clinched P2 in Belgium. However, Piastri stated that Andrea Stella and the whole team, not just his efforts, contributed to his success.

Oscar Piastri in a recent interview stated that team principal Andrea Stella has played a crucial role in both McLaren’s and his own success and often gets praised by him. He appreciated Stella working as the team principal, because of him the team has experienced a whole different energy. The Italians guidance and support in achieving Piastri goals have been essential. The Australian found it very rewarding working with the 53-year-old, and valued the positive impact he had brought.

Further, Piastri also mentioned he also gets along with CEO Zak Brown too. Being in the team for a long time he noted that Stella and Brown have quite different personalities. However, he believed that having such contrasting personalities creates a good balance within the team. With Lando, we're obviously team-mates and we get along well, we work together very well, but of course we want to beat each other. It's how racing drivers are, full stop. But we get along well.
