Oscar Piastri had quite a woeful outing at the Brazil GP and could not walk out of the weekend with any notable results. First, a Sprint race DNF put Piastri at a massive loss in points. Moreover, his early race collision with Kimi Antonelli that took out Charles Leclerc granted him a ten-second penalty. As such, the Aussie could only finish in P5 at the end of an eventful Brazilian GP. Despite losing positions because of the collision, the 24-year-old does not have any regrets about his late move.
The start to the Brazilian GP was problematic for Oscar Piastri because of his Sprint race crash. The Aussie is now trailing the championship lead by 36 points, which is definitely going to be extremely difficult to cover in the next three races. His crash into Kimi Antonelli, which took out Charles Leclerc, was a turning point in his race, as without the 10s penalty, he would have fared better.
Oscar Piastri recalled the race incident that granted him the penalty and clarified whether he believed he was at fault in the crash. However, the Aussie clearly mentioned that he had no regrets for his late move coming into Turn 1. Piastri added that he had a very clear opportunity and simply went for it. Meanwhile, the other two drivers who were picked off in the crash braked quite late and caused the whole incident.
Still, Oscar Piastri did lock up and meant that he was at fault, and made the move out of desperation. However, he doesn’t feel this way despite locking up his brakes heading into the turn. Piastri insisted that his lockup happened because he did not receive any space from Kimi Antonelli. Ultimately, the 24-year-old made an ‘it is what it is’ remark on the incident and hoped to move on from it soon.
No, I don’t think so, I had a very clear opportunity and I went for it. The other two on the outside braked quite late. There was a lock up as I could see Kimi wasn’t going to give me any space, but the decision is what it is.
Oscar Piastri said in a post-race interview.
Piastri: "There was a lock up as I could see Kimi wasn’t going to give me any space, but the decision is what it is."

Oscar Piastri reveals his game plan in his championship ambitions in final three races
Certainly, Oscar Piastri will have a lot of difficulty in covering the massive point deficit to Lando Norris in just three races. In what was supposed to be a year of easy championship wins for Piastri, he has lost it all in a matter of a few races. As such, the Aussie revealed his game plan for the remainder of the season and what he will do in order to still remain in contention and maybe even win it at the end.

Oscar Piastri asserted that he would try to get the most out of the year as much as he can. He accepted that receiving a penalty was one thing, but his pace was still completely disappointing. Piastri insisted that the first stint was also very tough, which was something to look at. For now, the Aussie will aim to have the best weekends possible and end the season on the best possible note.
Just try and get the most out of it than I can. The penalty was one thing, but the pace was not where I wanted it to be. The first stint was quite tough. I just need to try and have the best weekends I can.
Oscar Piastri noted.
Asked what he will do in the final three races, Piastri says: "Just try and get the most out of it than I can. The penalty was one thing, but the pace was not where I wanted it to be. The first stint was quite tough. I just need to try and have the best weekends I can."
