Why should Lance not continue? There's every reason to continue in the team with all the projects – that's the reason why Fernando decided to stay. He's had two incredible races in Jeddah and Australia. There were some parts of the race where he was faster than Fernando.
Pedro de la Rosa said on the F1 Nation podcast

The 53-year-old has made it known that Lance has had a couple of strong showings during the ongoing 2024 F1 season. Moreover, has emphasized that the Aston Martin project is a great one to be a part of and thus, Lance should follow in the footsteps of his 42-year-old teammate.

F1 commentator claims Lance Stroll is not ‘pulling his weight’ at Aston Martin

The 25-year-old had a horrendous 2023 season at the pinnacle of motor racing.

Aston Martin lost a position in the top three in the Constructors’ Championship last year because they had only one driver scoring points. Okay, Stroll picked up a few points here and there, but he’s not pulling his weight in this team. Fernando Alonso is once again carrying the team.
Harry Benjamin said on the BBC Chequered Flag podcast

Lance Stroll has a wealth of experience when it comes to F1, but for one or the other reason, he is yet to establish himself as a proper racing driver. He has over the years, faced immense criticism for his lackluster performances.

Keeping in view everything that has been discussed above, it will be fascinating to see what the future holds for Stroll. During the ongoing campaign, he has so far managed to amass only nine points.
