Formula 1 expert Marc Surer has bashed Red Bull’s Sergio Perez for his poor run of form in 2024. Perez has been far from clinical for the Milton-Keynes-based team, scoring only 24 points in the last seven races.

Sergio Perez has been inconsistent ever since the start of the 2023 season. The Mexican’s form has raised questions and concerns in people’s minds. But despite the scrutinizing nature of his performances, Perez signed a controversial contract extension with Red Bull earlier this campaign.

Marc Surer has thereafter deemed the six-time race winner unworthy amongst other capable talents on the grid. Surer also urged the Milton-Keynes-based team to give chances to other potential talents.

I'm just going to say that half the field in Formula 1 would probably perform better. So why not take a risk and put another driver in the car?

Perez has now been given a final chance to prove his worth during the second half of the season. Going forward, he now has to make the most of this opportunity if he wishes to continue with the Milton-Keynes outfit in 2025.

Dutch reporter claims Yuki Tsunoda deserves a seat at Red Bull

But I think he deserves a seat. VCARB is a development team, a young driver team, and Yuki has been there for four years now as well.
Dutch reporter Erik Van Haren explained on the F1 Nation Podcast

Erik Van Haren has deemed RB a junior team while proclaiming Yuki Tsunoda as a worthy choice for Red Bull. He has also pointed out that the latter is one of the better prospects among a long list of capable talents for promotion.

Tsunoda has amassed 22 points for RB so far this season, showcasing his exemplary skillset on the race track. He will now seek to improve his performance while being hopeful of a chance to drive for the main team next year.
