Red Bull faced tremendous performance issues apart from the 2024 power struggle within the team. Christian Horner‘s investigation saga was further a point of argument between the leaders of the team. Hence, amidst Red Bull’s tumultuous phase, Ralf Schumacher believed that Helmut Marko and Horner were still facing power struggles.

Christian Horner and Helmut Marko’s power struggle dates back to Red Bull’s co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz‘s death. Moreover, Horner had his fair share of rows with Max Verstappen‘s father Jos Verstappen throughout the season. As a result, it is safe to assume that Milton Keynes is currently facing major disruptions due to internal matters.

Upon the issues, Ralf Schumacher reckoned that there were still internal matters in Red Bull. The German also pointed out the rumors of problems still existing between Horner and Marko in the team. On top of that, Verstappen Sr’s issues with the team were still evident. Apart from this, the team losing the constructors’ championship was yet another negative. Hence, the Austrian constructor had to quickly act upon the issues as they were causing problems in performance in Formula 1.

I think internally they are not quite sure about that yet. There are rumours that things are still not quite ideal between Christian Horner and Marko. On top of that there’s father [Jos] Verstappen, who’s not too happy with the whole situation either. And there is the pressure of third place in the championship, if they are unlucky. So Red Bull has a lot to figure out at the moment.

Ralf Schumacher asserts Sergio Perez ‘far gone’ in terms of performances in the 2024 season

Sergio Perez‘s disastrous performances in the 2024 season have caused rumors of the driver being fired from the team. Perez’s performance also caused Red Bull to dwindle down to the third spot in the constructors’ championship. Hence, Schumacher asserted that the Mexican driver was just ‘far gone’ in terms of performance. As a result, the German wished to witness Franco Colapinto in the seat instead amidst the rumors.

Sergio Perez is just so far gone at the moment, it would be nice to see a young man get the chance. With everything he’s [Franco Colapinto] added, he’s really done a great job. He deserves his chance.
