Lando Norris has come up with impressive performances courtesy of the dominant McLaren chassis. The 24-year-old has continued to score great points over the weekend to close in on Max Verstappen. However, he has also made major mistakes which caused him to lose out on shining finishes. Hence, upon this, Ralf Schumacher has suggested a bizarre solution to fix these issues for the Briton.

Ralf Schumacher recalled Lando Norris‘ recent performances where he lost major positions right at the beginning of the race. The German reckoned that mistakes were possible to be committed but shouldn’t have happened. Additionally, the Briton must immediately mend his ways in performance, or he could be overtaken by Oscar Piastri down the season.

These are errors that can happen, but they shouldn't happen and [Norris] must urgently change this because otherwise Piastri, who is colder, will end up overcoming it
Ralf Schumacher told Sky Deutschland.

Hence, to fix these issues, Ralf Schumacher believed that a psychologist would help a lot. The psychologist would provide Norris with relaxation exercises to gain more self-confidence. However, Schumacher didn’t hesitate to accept that appointing a professional wasn’t the most helpful to him.

A psychologist or a support coach, from my point of view, would help him have more self-confidence. It didn't help me, but I wasn't good enough anyway

Ralf Schumacher claims Lando Norris must ‘remain calmer’ in the ‘hottest moments’ during races

Lando Norris is usually spectated being angry and agitated over team radio during races. Hence, the 24-year-old must work on his anger and remain calmer during such instances. Ralf Schumacher added that Norris needed to be calm during the ‘hottest’ moments of the races as the latter needed some support.

He must remain calmer in the hottest moments of the weekend. Some don't need it, but I think Lando needs some support.
Ralf Schumacher concluded.

Hence, Norris will continue to work on his own attitude to further improve in performance. The 24-year-old could have a shot at the drivers’ championship if he changes his ways to perform better. However, the Briton will have a tough time in overcoming Max Verstappen who currently has a lead of over 78 points.
