Lawson had a superb run of races last season as the New Zealander filled in for Ricciardo following a wrist injury for the Australian at the Dutch Grand Prix. Red Bull Advisor, Helmut Marko spoke in praise of Lawson, saying that the driver deserves a seat in 2025 following his brilliant five-race performance in the 2023 season.

We're very happy with both of our drivers. And honestly, we're not wasting time with discussing ifs and whens. We have a very strong line-up.
RB CEO Peter Bayer said in an interview.

Yuki Tsunoda has been on the better end of performances as compared to Daniel Ricciardo this season, with rumors of the Australian being replaced due to his inconsistent run. But in a turn of events, Lawson stays in the cold as to where his future lies after a reassuring talk by RB CEO, Peter Bayer who looks to retain his current drivers for the coming season.

Yeah, absolutely, [I’m ready]. I don’t think it’s slipped away. Obviously, I don’t know what will happen. Of course, I need to do some things like I did in Miami and do that more often.
Daniel Ricciardo said in an interview with PlanetF1

Ricciardo left the Austrian outfit to join Renault (Alpine) at the end of 2018 and further went on to race for McLaren until the end of the 2022 season. The 34-year-old has won only one race after leaving Red Bull in 2018.

The Australian now looks to make a return to his former team amidst speculations of a replacement for Sergio Perez, who did not perform well for Red Bull last season. However, Ricciardo has a task at hand to prove his worth to the team and that he still has what it takes to win a championship. The 2024 F1 season is pretty much a make-or-break campaign for the honey badger.
