Max Verstappen and Red Bull have a relationship extending for a long time. On the other hand, the outfit is advertised and known for its adrenaline-filled spirit. Subsequently, when a question was asked how the Dutchman’s tie-up with the brand’s global image affects the Austrian energy drinks maker, Red Bull’s commercial director claimed that Verstappen is the perfect ambassador for the Austrian giant.

Red Bull was formed in 1984 and quickly started to expand globally. The energy drinks maker had tough competition from other beverage makers and adopted a clever marketing strategy. They associated the energy drink with high-performance athletes and the trend has continued ever since.

Max[Verstappen] epitomizes everything that Red Bull represents. We bet on him when he was young. He was 17 years old when he first came into the world of Formula One. We’re the only company to ever work with Max in Formula One. But he really embodies that fighting spirit of the brand.
Nick Stocker said in an interview by Front Office Sports

The commercial director elaborated that the three-time world champion is attributed with dominating F1. Moreover, he has been at the top of the sport for quite some time and is the perfect example of Red Bull’s global image.

George Russell will not be surprised if Max Verstappen takes a shock ‘sabbatical’ from F1

The reigning champion is poised to stay with the Austrian outfit until the end of 2028. However, his Mercedes rival, George Russell, reckons that as the F1 sphere has emerged as boring recently, that it would not be a shocker if Verstappen decides to take some time off from the sport

The 26-year-old reckoned Verstappen’s sabbatical to be a real possibility.

Max[Verstappen] can take a year off for 2026 and see which the best team is. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he did that. Remember, 2026 is a lottery. So, you truly don’t know what will transpire.
George Russell said in an interview with Daily Mail

The one-time race winner claimed the reigning champion could take a year off in 2026 and judge how the F1 landscape has evolved. Moreover, this would help him analyze the situation and get ready for the regulations change in 2026.

Anyhow, regardless of the speculations, Verstappen recently asserted that he intends to stay with Red Bull until the end of his career. Thus, the Dutchman taking a sabbatical seems a highly unlikely possibility under current circumstances.
