Lewis Hamilton is all set to race for Ferrari in the 2025 season after completing the sensational move away from Mercedes. The seven-time champion is expected to bring greater things to the Italian constructor. Recently finance expert Dr Rob Wilson revealed Hamilton’s potential $125 Million impact on the Scuderia.
Ferrari is one of the most historic teams in Formula 1, joining the paddock since the sport’s debut. The fans of the Prancing Horse have banked great hopes on Lewis Hamilton for the 2025 season. The craze is such that Hamilton’s first visit to Maranello caused a state of emergency in the city. Moreover, the Briton’s championship victory could enable the Scuderia to gain over $125 Million in revenue.
Rob Wilson highlighted that Hamilton and Ferrari were two iconic brands in Formula 1. Combining the two would only bring benefits to both of them. Moreover, Wilson revealed that if the Briton put forth competitive results even in the first ten races, Maranello could receive an ‘explosive’ marketing opportunity. The Italian constructor’s brand would also be amplified under the 40-year-old’s rising performances.
So what you have with Hamilton and Ferrari are two iconic brands. There will always be a benefit to putting those two brands together. You amplify the benefit of those, that brand association if the sporting performance is better. So if he starts the season and is competitive in the first five or ten races and wins a couple, you’re talking about an explosive marketing opportunity and everybody wins in Formula 1 with that. It would amplify the brand as well as it amplifies Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton. It’s certainly double digits, you’re in the tens of millions.
