Sergio Perez looking to ‘turn things around’ in remainder of 2024 season

Perez has failed to match expectations at Red Bull this year. It is rumored that Checo’s contract has an exit clause which allows Milton Keynes to sack him if he fails to finish not more than 100 points behind Max Verstappen or is more than five places behind the Dutch driver in the standings.

Sergio Perez admitted that he has had a few tough races recently. The Mexican driver hoped for a more straight forward weekend in the next race. Perez highlighted that he was looking to turn things around with half of the season still left to go.

The last few races have been tough, looking forward to have a straight forward [weekend]. There’re still plenty of races to go, so hopefully we can turn it around and get back to the form we had earlier in the year.
Sergio Perez asserted

Certainly, Sergio Perez remains confident on his future with Red Bull in F1. However, it is clear that the Mexican driver’s tenure is on thin ice. The 34-year-old must improve from the next race to safeguard his career at the pinnacle of motorsport. Fans would be hoping to see Perez potentially fight for victories soon.
