Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsport where 20 of the world’s best drivers compete for the title. However, many talented drivers fail to make it to the sport. Hence, such drivers try their hands in other forms of motorsport like IndyCar, NASCAR, and notably Formula E. Now, Sergio Perez has praised Formula E for its pool of drivers.
Sergio Perez reckoned that Formula E was a great alternative to Formula 1. According to Perez, Formula E provided a great chance for drivers who did not find a place on the F1 grid. The all-electric racing series was a good place for drivers to earn money and live their passion. Recently, Jean-Eric Vergne claimed that Max Verstappen had a ‘good understanding’ of the all-electric series.
It's great to have a series that gives drivers an opportunity who can't be in Formula 1,""It's just another series where they can earn money and live their passion.Sergio Perez said, as reported by motorsport-total.com.

Sergio Perez held great respect for the drivers on the Formula E grid. Multiple drivers moved to Formula E from F1 including Nelson Piquet Jr., Nyck de Vries, Stoffel Vandoorne. These drivers went on to win the Formula E championship and make their mark in the respective motorsport category. Hence, Perez claimed that these athletes should be respected and that they were doing a ‘great job’.
I think as a championship ourselves, we have to respect what they are focusing on and I think they are doing a very good job.Sergio Perez noted.
Carlos Sainz claims he’s happy that Formula E ‘exists’
Apart from Sergio Perez, Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz was full of praises for the all-electric racing series. Sainz mentioned that many drivers didn’t get a chance to be a part of the top 20 in Formula 1. Hence, Formula E was a great avenue for other passionate racing drivers. Much like Perez, the Spaniard asserted that Formula E allowed the drivers to continue their racing ambitions.
There are drivers who did not make it into Formula 1, but who have the talent to drive at a level similar to the 20 in Formula 1. And this series simply gives them an opportunity to live their passion and fight with each other.Carlos Sainz said, as reported by motorsport-total.com.

Apart from this, Sainz highlighted that he had multiple good friends in Formula E who he fought alongside in different series. Hence, the opportunity for the drivers was ‘great’ for all the drivers’ in the championship. Additionally, Carlos Sainz asserted that he was happy that Formula E existed for the unfortunate driver who didn’t get a deserving seat in Formula 1.
I also have good friends there, who I have fought in different series, and it is great that they have this opportunity, And besides, the racing is good. I'm glad they exist.Carlos Sainz explained.
Hence, Perez and Sainz would certainly watch the Formula E season this year. The electric racing championship continues to be a great spectacle for the sport’s passionate fans. However, Formula E needs to do a lot more to ensure that it can grow in the coming years.
