Sergio Perez has raced in Formula 1 for over a decade. During this period, the Mexican driver has faced some ups and downs, including some struggles in his current stint at Red Bull. However, Perez has continued to work hard and solidify his place at the pinnacle of motorsport.
Checo highlighted that he came from a simple family from Mexico. The 34-year-old had to keep working hard to fulfill his dream of racing in Formula 1. Sergio Perez confessed that he and his family had to make many sacrifices to get where he is today.
I come from a very ordinary family, for a sport that a lot of money is needed. Everything I’ve achieved was through a lot of work and sacrifices from my entire family, and also leaving everything behind.Sergio Perez told Grupo Formula
Ultimately, Sergio Perez advised the new generation to keep working hard and push for their dreams. Checo claimed that the only real failure in life was a lack of trying. As it was the journey that truly mattered and not the end result.

Perez has won a few races in his F1 career, his first victory coming in 2020 with Racing Point (now Aston Martin). The Mexican driver was ousted from the Silverstone squad for 2021 and his career was uncertain. Luckily, Checo was signed by Red Bull to partner Max Verstappen. Sergio Perez asserted that he has had an opportunity to have a long career in Formula 1 as he never gave up throughout his time in the paddock.

Certainly, Sergio Perez has not had the easiest of careers in Formula 1. However, the 34-year-old has persevered through difficult times and never lost motivation. Fans would hope that the Mexican driver achieves new heights in the foreseeable future.
