Andrea Stella accepts Oscar Piastri could’ve had a better result in Qualifying

Oscar Piastri had a more difficult session than Norris. The Australian driver never really showed the pace for pole position and finished in fifth place. Andrea Stella admitted that Piastri could’ve performed better. The McLaren boss insisted that the team will look into the reason for the underwhelming result.

Certainly, McLaren has found itself in prime position for race victory courtesy of Lando Norris. The Briton really needed the pole position to show that he remains capable of defeating Verstappen. However it remains to be seen if Norris can fend off the reigning world champion at the first corner on Sunday.
