Michael Schumacher is undoubtedly one of the best drivers to ever compete at the pinnacle of motor racing. He has amassed seven world championships and is seen by many as an out-and-out legend of the sport.
Amidst this, the Ex-F1 team principal Ross Brawn has taken the liberty to deem Michael Schumacher as the best driver in the history of the sport. Moreover, while talking up the German, he even made a comparison with Lewis Hamilton.
Both Schumacher and Hamilton are level in terms of F1 championships won.
I’ve worked with Lewis who is another incredibly fast and talented driver, but with a totally different approach. He’s got the kind of notoriety you want, the kind of lifestyle you want on the fast lane, which is the opposite of the tranquillity Michael was looking for. But deep down, there was the same commitment, talent, and desire. Just the approach was different. As far as I’m concerned, helping him win each of his seven world titles was just exceptional. There is nothing above Michael.

Looking at the reaction of Brawn, he has left no stone unturned in showering huge praise on Schumacher. The latter was an extremely fast racer during his prime years with Ferrari. Since having a skiing accident in December 2013, the German’s health status has been kept completely private with certain reports making the rounds every now and then.
Michael Schumacher knew how to put his talent into ‘practice’
While Ross Brawn has deemed Michael Schumacher as the absolute best, he also feels that not many drivers have been able to make full use of their talent. The latter made his debut in the sport on 25th August 1991.

The foundations were there, but you can’t rely on them alone. You also need talent, and his was enormous. The history of Formula 1 is full of drivers with a lot of talent, but who don’t know how to put it into practice. Clearly, Michael knew that.
