After Adrian Newey announced his departure from Red Bull, people speculated about him joining any of the top teams. Ferrari and Aston Martin wanted him on their side, while McLaren ruled themselves out of the decision. Mercedes and Williams were also discussed as possible options for Newey. However, in recent days, Aston Martin is likely considered as the Briton’s final destination.
Lawrence Stroll reportedly has his eyes set on Adrian Newey since he announced his departure. However, recently the Silverstone-based team is rumored to have offered Newey a whopping $100 million contract. Ted Kravitz stated that when he asked Dan Fallows about working with Newey. He mentioned that when the 65-year-old arrives, his magic dust could bring significant improvements. The idea was, Newey could use his special skills to guide the team in the right direction. With his expertise, they believe that the current team members, including Fallows, can then build on this guidance and achieve great results.
Come in, sprinkle magic dust, put people on the right paths, and we think that we’ve got the ability to do the rest with Fallows and the team that are already there.Ted Kravitz said on SkySportsF1 podcast

Further, Fallows told Kravitz that Newey has to decide where he will be happiest working. Although rumors suggest that Aston Martin is the perfect choice for him, he could end up choosing a different team. Therefore, it’s up to the aero-genius to choose the place where he feels most comfortable and where he believes he can do his best work.
It’s a judgment call for Newey, where he wants to feel happy. The leader, if we believe the rumors, is Aston Martin but he could end up anywhere.Ted Kravits added
Ted Kravitz claims Adrian Newey might feel odd going back to McLaren
Ferrari’s hope of hiring Adrian Newey after Lewis Hamilton and pairing them to make the best team on the grid seems merely impossible. If not Ferrari then the other two options remaining with the Briton were McLaren and Aston Martin. McLaren being his former team it would be odd for him to land there again. However, Zak Brown also stated the teams are in a better situation and they don’t need Newey for now.

The Ferrari dream of linking up with Lewis Hamilton seems further away than ever. Then it’s a choice between McLaren - why would he go back? He already worked for McLaren - he might feel odd going back to Woking.Ted Kravitz stated
Certainly, With Aston Martin seemingly being the last remaining option for Newey, there is a high chance he will end up at Silverstone. If the team makes improvements in future, those who thought they didn’t need Newey might regret their decision.
