Max Verstappen has scored several impressive performances in Formula 1 since his debut. The Dutchman has shattered multiple records and gained the title of being a legend. However, NASCAR’s Kyle Larson recently downplayed Verstappen’s racecraft and claimed he could do better.
Kyle Larson is also a highly decorated driver in his respective category. However, the Ex-racing driver Tim Coronel has responded to Larson’s ill comments against Max Verstappen.
Coronel reckoned that it would take only two practice sessions against the Dutchman for Larson to ‘cry’ in a corner.
Two practice sessions for Max [Verstappen] and then Kyle [Larson] is going to cry in a corner somewhere.Tim Coronel told racingnews365.com
In addition, Coronel didn’t hesitate to point out that Kyle Larson got it all ‘wrong’ in his life to believe this. Subsequently, the former reckoned that Larson didn’t exactly grasp what driving a car was at all if he seriously believed he could outperform Verstappen in racing.
Kyle, sorry, but then I think you are wrong in life. Then you haven't understood what driving a car is at all.Tim Coronel added
Tim Coronel genuinely feels Kyle Larson would ‘lose’ in a matchup against Max Verstappen
Tim Coronel further lamented Kyle Larson’s comments and noted that the latter wasn’t aware of what was happening in the world. As a result, Coronel looked up to a matchup between Verstappen and Larson. The reason was that the 52-year-old believed the NASCAR driver would surely lose the matchup.
If you say that, then I don't think you know what's going on in the world besides that bubble he's in America. If you think you're better than Max Verstappen, I'd actually really like to have a match between them, because you're going to lose.Tim Coronel noted
Max Verstappen is yet to respond to these untoward remarks from Larson. The Dutchman’s personality is such that he is highly unlikely to respond to such comments. Regardless the 26-year-old will continue to focus on his Formula 1 duties and attempt to score a comeback in the 2024 season.
