Toto Wolff claims ‘stopwatch will tell’ Mercedes if it’s on the right trajectory
Toto Wolff hoped that Mercedes' recent upgrades had put the time on the right path to get back to winning ways.

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff recently expressed his sentiments about the team’s current trajectory, admitting to feeling a bit worried about the team even though it’s on the right path and he’s gaining confidence for upcoming races.
During a media interaction Toto Wolff expressed his views when asked if this is been the most confident he has been since the start of 2022. Wolff linked the sport to a tricky puzzle where even everything seems to be aligning smoothly, there’s always a level of caution

Despite the teams good performance in recent three races, Wolff believes that it would be the lap times measured by a stopwatch which would reveal Mercedes’ performance. However, the 52-year-old remained confident because he understands the challenges of the sport and desires positive results to confirm their progress. George Russell claimed that he had the pace to win the Canadian GP.

Toto Wolff reveals Mercedes to bring updates for Spanish GP
Before their previous races in Montreal, Mercedes made upgrades that enabled them to capitalize on some progress. Similarly, in Monaco, they showcased strong one-lap pace. Toto Wolff anticipates that new upgrades will definitely arrive in Barcelona, as they have helped the team increase its performance since Imola. The Austrian further expressed how the team struggled with upgrades in past years.
I think definitely since Imola we've taken the right steps and put parts on the car that we're watching. That is something that we were struggling with in the past couple of years.Toto Wolff explained
Wolff hopes that the new upgrades they’re bringing in for the race in Barcelona will give them a boost and capitalize on some more gains. He hopes the team keeps moving in the right direction and toward the right path of improving every weekend.
We seem to be adding performance every weekend, and with new stuff coming also, new parts coming in Barcelona, that should help us. So, I would very much hope that we can continue this positive trajectory.Toto Wolff added
As such, Toto Wolff anticipates that the new upgrades in Barcelona will build on past successes, boosting performance and keeping the team on track for continuous improvement. Certainly, fans would be delighted to see Mercedes get back to winning ways in the coming races.
