George Russell said ahead of the Las Vegas GP

Hamilton arrives at the Las Vegas GP after a dismal time in Brazil. His aim will now be to deliver his best efforts in maximizing the results to finish his era with the Silver Arrows on a high.

George Russell is not concerned about finishing ahead of Lewis Hamilton

George Russell has been the more dominant driver out of himself and Lewis Hamilton for the better part of the season. The 26-year-old has since talked of his approach heading into the final races of the campaign.

Russell has cited that the W15 has been more well-suited to his needs than that of Hamilton this season. Nevertheless, his interests lie in performing well for the Mercedes rather than surpassing his teammate.

I think maybe this year’s car suited my driving style a little bit more than his, I’m not too sure. For me, we’re still not where we want to be as a team, so if I’m finishing ahead of Lewis Hamilton, I won’t put that on my CV.

The two drivers have started the Las Vegas GP weekend in good form, finishing in the top three at both practice sessions. They will now seek to continue with the same format and finish on the podium on Sunday.
