Lewis Hamilton‘s woes at Ferrari have continued even after finishing 13 races in the 2025 season. Hamilton remained on the backfoot of performances since the beginning of the Hungarian GP and has been unable to achieve a good enough qualifying position. The Briton got eliminated from the Q2 qualifying session, as he will have to start the race from P12. Now, the 40-year-old lambasts his performance in Hungary and puts forth some shockingly negative statements about himself.
Lewis Hamilton‘s time at Ferrari has been nothing short of a massive challenge. The Briton has remained vocal on the issues he is facing in terms of performance at the Italian constructor. While Hamilton is giving it his all to improve his results, he is unable to do so because of the mediocre pace of the challenger. Because of this, the seven-time champion finally breaks down and calls himself a completely useless driver.
Speaking on his Q2 exit, Lewis Hamilton opens up and reveals that he is the one committing the mistake on the track every time, while his team is giving it their all. Hamilton shockingly labeled himself ‘absolutely’ useless as his woeful time on the track continues. To make matters worse, Charles Leclerc scored an impressive pole position for the Hungarian GP, which further makes the 40-year-old look bad.
Hamilton pointed out that the team was clearly not the problem, as the other car of Charles Leclerc achieved the pole position. The Briton continued his roast session and declared that the Italian constructor probably needed to replace him with another driver to score better results during races and qualifying sessions. Although the 40-year-old’s disappointment is real, he will definitely score a great recovery drive on Sunday and give it his all to achieve a good finish in the race.
It’s me every time. I’m useless, absolutely useless. Team’s not the problem, can see the other car on pole. Team probably needs to change driver.

Lewis Hamilton finds ‘nothing positive’ in Hungarian GP Qualifying
Lewis Hamilton’s performance at the Belgian GP Qualifying was similar to this time around, as he got eliminated from the Q1 session last week. Still, Hamilton put forth a great recovery drive and ultimately finished in P7, after starting the race from P18. As such, the 40-year-old was questioned regarding the positivity he will have going into the main race on Sunday after keeping in mind his performance in the previous race.

To this, Lewis Hamilton had a short and brutal answer. He explained that he wasn’t really positive about his chances at the Hungarian GP. Moreover, the seven-time champion pointed out that there was nothing positive about his outing on Saturday apart from Charles Leclerc taking the pole position. Hamilton reckoned that Leclerc’s pole was great for the team as he had no such results to boast about yet.
No. Not really much… There’s nothing positive about today, apart from the fact that Charles is on pole, which is.. Congratulations to him. Its really great for the team.

Anything can happen in the Hungarian GP as Lewis Hamilton starts the race from P12. The Briton will still have a great chance of moving up the field as he reminisced about his childhood karting days after starting from the back of the pack and moving out. Now, time will tell about how the main event on Sunday turns out for Hamilton as he remains extremely disappointed in his chances for now.
