Lewis Hamilton is all set to debut with Ferrari this year. The Briton is expected to return the Italian constructor their lost glory in Formula 1. Hamilton is trying his best to learn Italian to integrate well with the crew. Now, the 40-year-old has provided an update on his language lessons following his entry to the Scuderia.

Lewis Hamilton had recently shocked the entire crew after speaking Italian at a Ferrari event. Hamilton is seemingly trying hard to learn the language and get accustomed to the all-Italian crew. The 40-year-old noted that his lessons were going well but there were a few hiccups on the way.

Hamilton highlighted that he sometimes got in a good rhythm with his Italian teacher. However, the Ferrari debutant got very busy with the formalities and couldn’t learn the language as much. The 40-year-old funnily pointed out that he forgot a lot of the stuff that he had learned. Hence, the Briton now tried to get back in the groove and start being better at speaking Italian.

Sometimes I get in a good rhythm with my teacher, and then it was so busy that I don’t get time for a period of time, and I forget a bunch of it, but I’m learning.

Ralf Schumacher does not expect Lewis Hamilton to outscore Charles Leclerc

Lewis Hamilton might face issues against Charles Leclerc due to the former’s known qualifying struggles. Moreover, Leclerc is a highly sought-after driver, excelling in a one-lap pace. As a result, Ex-F1 driver Ralf Schumacher believed that if anyone were to succeed with Ferrari, it was the Monegasque. The German highlighted that Hamilton would need some months before getting comfortable with the environment at the Scuderia.

If anyone will make it in the Ferrari, I somehow have the feeling that it will be Charles Leclerc. When you join a new team, it takes at least six to eight months before you can use the whole environment perfectly for yourself and prove yourself in that environment, no matter what you do and how quickly you get comfortable.

Ralf Schumacher told the German Press, DPA

Hamilton and Leclerc will form a highly formidable pair, capable of maximizing points for Ferrari from the get-go. The Italian constructor has also achieved a great performance improvement in recent years. Hence, time will tell about how the Reds perform against the rivals’ ever-growing pace in the final edition of the ground-effect era.
