Lewis Hamilton is not having the best of seasons at Scuderia Ferrari. The seven-time world champion has found it difficult to adapt to his new team so far. Moreover, performances have been rather disappointing. The Emilia Romagna GP seemed to be another dismal weekend for the Briton. However, Hamilton managed to turn things around in the race and had a special message for the Tifosi.

The F1 star has failed to make a mark during his debut season at the Scuderia, apart from a sprint victory in China. Qualifying at Imola only made matters worse, the seven-time world champion was left devastated after being knocked out in Q2.

Lewis Hamilton hoped to make recovery in the race and that is exactly what he did. The Briton mastered his strategy and stretched his stints, ensuring that he was at the right place at the right time. Hamilton finished the race in fourth place, an impressive result considering the state of the team a day earlier.

The seven-time world champion was thrilled after crossing the chequered flag. On the team radio, Lewis Hamilton applauded the result and the work done by the Ferrari pitwall. The 40-year-old was full of pride after such a great turnaround. Hamilton further said the iconic phrase, ‘Forza Tifosi,’ highlighting that this result was dedicated to the team’s passionate fanbase.

What a great race guys! Fantastic stuff, strategy, the car felt great today. I’m so grateful so proud. Grazie Tutti! And Forza Tifosi! That was for them.

Lewis Hamilton declares Ferrari will soon be ‘winning’ again

When Hamilton signed with Scuderia Ferrari, he hoped to bring glory back to Maranello, potentially with a title fight as early as this year. Unfortunately, the Italian team is nowhere close to even winning a race just yet. Yet, Lewis Hamilton has gained some much-needed confidence in himself and his team that things are going in the right direction.

An excited Lewis Hamilton expressed his feelings to the pitwall. The 40-year-old urged his team to keep working hard after this stellar comeback. Hamilton acknowledged that Ferrari needs to get more pace out of the SF25 in qualifying with the race pace matching expectations. The F1 star believed that if this happens, the Prancing Horse will get back to winning ways.

That’s more like it guys. That’s more like it. Let’s keep pushing. We get our qualifying better and we can race like that, then we will be winning. Never give up.

Lewis Hamilton added

Certainly, this result comes at the best time possible for Hamilton and Ferrari. With just a quarter of the season being completed, there is ample time for Maranello to bounce back. Lewis Hamilton is a driver who excels when he is confident and this race will give him a much-needed boost. This was also one of the rare occasions when Ferrari did not botch up a race strategy with the Briton pitting at the right time. Albeit, Hamilton’s teammate Charles Leclerc was unlucky when it came to his strategic calls.

However, things will not be easy for the Italian team. The Scuderia is still far off the pace against the likes of McLaren and Red Bull. So much so, that the 40-year-old does not have any realistic shot at the world championship for this season. Nevertheless, Hamilton and his squad must carry on this momentum further if they want to have a shot at winning in the coming races.
