Formula 1 drivers love multiple sports categories apart from the pinnacle of motorsport. Multiple drivers on the grid are often spotted at different sporting events like NBA and Football.. Hence, amidst the ongoing season, Carlos Sainz was spotted at a MotoGP event. The Spaniard was seen supporting Spanish riders on the MotoGP grid.
Carlos Sainz visited the Spanish GP race of the two-wheeler series. The Spaniard was spotted showcasing his love and support to fellow countrymen at the venue. Liberty Media’s recent acquisition of MotoGP could boost the two-wheeler series’ popularity in the coming years. Sainz met up with Maverick Vinales on the race-start grid before the pre-race activities of the Spanish GP.
Sainz clicked pictures with Vinales and gave some words of wisdom to the Spanish driver. However, an accident-filled Spanish GP saw Maverick Vinales DNF from the race. Apart from the on-grid activities, Sainz and Carlos Sainz Sr. were also spotted together near the pitlane. The father-son duo met up with multiple drivers in the garage and even clicked multiple pictures with them.

Carlos Sainz and his father visited the garages of multiple teams to showcase their love for the two-wheeler racing category. Hence, the duo clicked pictures with drivers such as Alex Marquez, Dani Pedrosa, Maverick Vinales, and many others. Sainz Jr and Carlos Sainz Sr. also had some conversations with the pit crew of teams such as Gresini Racing, Aprilia, and many others.
The father-son duo also met up with the MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi and clicked pictures with him. Carlos Sainz Jr. and Sr. took some great learnings about the sport from Aprilia’s racing crew after clicking a picture with them all. Sainz Jr. even sat on the Ducati chassis of Gresini racing to learn further more about the way MotoGP works.
Liberty Media’s purchase of MotoGP could entice more F1 drivers to attend races of the two-wheeler category. As a result, the fans of their respective categories can expect more and more spotting during the ongoing season. Certainly, it would be interesting to see potential crossovers between two of the biggest racing championships.
