Lewis Hamilton was once managed by his father, Anthony Hamilton. The duo shares a close bond. It was a surprise when Hamilton announced that his father would no longer be his manager. Lewis Hamilton and his father worked together throughout his racing career till 2010. Anthony played a vital role in the seven-time world champion’s career.
Hamilton made that decision as he felt he and his father were bumping heads back then. The Briton also stated he wanted to make decisions for himself and learn from his mistakes. Though Hamilton admitted he and his father were going through a rough patch once, they worked hard to come back together and bond.
To quote Hamilton, “The thing for my dad and me. We were just really bumping heads at one stage. It was like, ‘I really just want you to be my dad, let’s go and have fun, let’s go and have a laugh. I think it was difficult for him to then show me, love. Sometimes you just want a hug from your dad or, when you’re facing these things, you want to be able to be embraced. But I think when I was 22/23, it got really intense when I got to F1. The Briton explained he and his father are in a good place now. Anthony Hamilton has always been by his son’s side.

Lewis Hamilton wanted Kris Jenner as his father’s replacement
According to Daily Mail, there was once a time when Lewis Hamilton wanted to hire the American media personality Kris Jenner as his manager. Jenner is a successful businesswoman. She managed her daughters’ careers, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian. Lewis Hamilton was quite close with the Kardashian family.
Hamilton contemplated hiring Kris Jenner as his manager because of her successful career. There were also speculations that Kris Jenner was keen on managing the world champion. However, he did not hire her. The duo remains good friends. Jenner wished Hamilton his 38th birthday. She posted, “Happy Birthday Lewis, we love you!”.
When Hamilton won his third championship Kris Jenner posted an image of him on her Instagram account, “ Congratulations Lewis! We are so proud of you!”. She also added the hashtag “family” and “biggest day of his life”. Their friendship has grown over the years. Hamilton is the most popular F1 driver in the United States.

They often attend races and show their support for the Mercedes driver. Lewis Hamilton is a well-known name in Formula 1. He has an impeccable record in the sport. He has more wins than the rest of the current grid combined.
Hamilton’s eighth title was so close yet so far. It was almost within his grasp at the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Briton hopes to redeem himself in the coming years. Unfortunately, Mercedes are not where they want to be. It seems everything has gone downhill for the team since AD 2021.
The 2022 season was troublesome for the Silver Arrows. They hoped to turn things around for the 2023 season, but things are not looking well for the team. They are struggling with the pace. And another concern is that Lewis Hamilton’s contract expires by the end of the year, and they have not renewed it yet.
