After the summer break, Williams sacked driver Logan Sargeant due to his series of poor performances this season. The team replaced him with Franco Colapinto, who will race for the remainder of the season.

The Argentine driver has shown impressive performance since the Italian GP. However, his future in F1 is still uncertain, as the seat he’s currently in will be filled by Carlos Sainz after the Spaniard signed a multi-year contract to race for Williams.

With uncertainty surrounding the second seat at Milton Keynes, Franco Colapinto remains unaware of these rumors, admitting he has no idea where they originated. However, if the 21-year-old is truly being considered, he’s not alone as Liam Lawson and Yuki Tsunoda are also contenders for that seat.

At the moment, I don’t understand much of what they are talking about. I don’t know where it came from. I don’t have a seat for next year, and I’ll probably be racing somewhere else.

Franco Colapinto said

Colapinto’s strong performance has sparked discussions about his potential destinations for the 2025 season. Although there were initial talks of a possible loan to Audi, that deal reportedly fell through. He acknowledged that while he doesn’t yet have a confirmed seat, he’s confident he’ll be racing elsewhere.

Currently, there is only one vacant seat, which is at Sauber, which will soon become Audi. However, the number of vacant seats can quickly change as teams constantly reassess options and drivers negotiate contracts.

Hopefully, I’ll be showing enough that I deserve a seat in Formula 1 in 2025 or 26. That is why I am doing my best.
