Before all the brilliance of Lando Norris diverted the attention of fans into being very happy for him, there was a severe backlash towards McLaren ahead of the Miami race. The Papaya team was at the center of this because Zak Brown was seen with US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Following the race, there were reports that indicated that the 77-year-old had come to McLaren garage after an invitation from Zak Brown. This invitation has led to a lot of anger towards McLaren and Brown himself as Donald Trump is a political figure about whom a lot of people have varied opinions.

One such queer McLaren fan took to her X account and put out a statement that highlights her disdain towards Zak Brown after calling Trump to their garage. The fan wrote how she was very disappointed with the McLaren CEO because of all the statements Trump has made about queer people throughout his political career.

I have always held @ZBrownCEO in unbelievably high regard for the McLaren turnaround in recent years and this photo ruined everything. As a queer female WOC who has been a McLaren fan for more than 10 years, I have never felt more disgusted to see him welcomed.

The entire situation seems to be very messy, with multiple other fans talking about why it wasn’t right to invite the 77-year-old to the McLaren garage. Moreover, a lot of fans also highlighted how a few years ago Zak Brown revealed that politics should stay apart from F1.

Zak Brown promises to get tattoo after Lando Norris win in Miami

Lando Norris took a brilliant maiden win during the Miami Grand Prix. The driver was by far the quickest on track and his win made all the papaya fans and his team very proud. The win was McLaren’s first since Monza back in 2021.

Previously, Zak Brown had a bet with Daniel Ricciardo during his time at McLaren. The bet was regarding a tattoo that the 52-year-old would get if the Australian won a race. Following Riccardo’s incredible win at Monza in 2021 Brown got the tattoo. Now, with Lando Norris’s win, Brown was asked whether he had a similar bet with the Briton.

Yeah I don’t mind Miami. It’s kind of my home country, so why not? Monza was not that painful, but Miami has a few more curves.

Brown revealed how he wouldn’t mind a tattoo as he is very proud of the team and his young driver. He concluded by sarcastically adding how getting a tattoo with Miami’s track layout would be a lot more painful because of the track’s curves in comparison to Monza.
