Zak Brown has led McLaren to monumental success in recent years, not only in terms of performance but also from a marketing standpoint. Brown’s exceptional knowledge of marketing enabled Woking to amass great commercial revenue. As a result, McLaren currently boasts the highest number of sponsors on the F1 grid.
Zak Brown talked highly of McLaren’s financial backing from the sponsors. The Englishman claimed that Woking was currently in ‘great shape’ commercially. Brown made a bold claim that the British constructor had the most commercial revenue than any other team. The 53-year-old anticipated that the exact numbers from the previous year would be revealed later.
We’re in great shape commercially. We have the most amount of commercial revenue that a racing team has ever had and probably in F1 would be my guess. We’ll know when the books all get opened up for last year.
Zak Brown said at F1 75
McLaren announced multiple new sponsorship deals and renewals for the 2025 season and beyond. Brown highlighted that all the announcements were done but still made an ‘expect the unexpected’ remark. This meant that the team was still open to new sponsors amidst their ever-growing pace on the grid.
All of our major [sponsorship] announcements are done, but I’ve been doing this long enough to expect the unexpected. But at this point what you’ll see tonight on our race cars is what we plan on going racing with.

Zak Brown pinpoints goals to improve McLaren’s ‘stability and visibility’
McLaren is currently in much better shape as compared to five years ago. Zak Brown pointed out his goals with the team for the coming years, especially the 2026 season. Brown noted that his biggest focus was to improve stability and visibility. The 53-year-old insisted that he is laser-focused on the pit wall, drivers, and the sponsors for the upcoming decade.

My biggest focus right now on the racing team is stability and visibility from a longevity point of view. So whether that’s the pitwall, our racing drivers, our sponsors, [that’s what] I’m laser focused on. If all goes according to plan we shouldn’t see much change in any of that through the balance of the decade
Zak Brown noted
McLaren will have to keep up with their performance of the previous season if not improve upon it for the 2025 season. Lando Norris looks confident of fighting for the world championship against the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Max Verstappen, and others. With the final year of the ground-effect era approaching, the battle among the leading teams and drivers is expected to be highly intense.
