Max Verstappen successfully secured his third win of the season at the Miami International Autodrome on Sunday in the inaugural Miami Grand Prix. For what looked like a difficult start to the race weekend, Verstappen was able to outsmart fellow contemporary Charles Leclerc in the race where Leclerc was the pole sitter.

The Miami Grand Prix was one star-studded affair which saw the coming together of multiple celebrities who had assembled together to enjoy the race in the latest street track of America. However, most of the drivers  had their very own complaints about the brand new track.

Similarly, Dutchman Verstappen vocalized on the issue of the tight chicane at Turn 14 and 15 at the Autodrome along with the condition of the asphalt. The condition of the asphalt made overtaking seem like a strenuous challenge for most drivers on the grid.

Italian-based racing team Scuderia Ferrari had started out on a high as they had a front lockdown with drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz starting the race at P1 and P2 respectively. After successfully overtaking Spaniard Sainz early on in the race, Verstappen closed in on Leclerc who’s sitting at the top of the leaderboard with a solid 104 points.

He then went on to overtake Leclerc at the start of the Lap 9 which necessitated a deviation from the straight line and the respective grip. “You make a decision like that in a millisecond,” added Verstappen on his quick decision which helped him to win the race on Sunday.
