Fans excited to see Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant at practice
The Brooklyn made unique and much spoken about trade ups in the 2019-20 season acquiring Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. The hopes of Brooklyn Nets ending their Championship drought in the upcoming season are high if both Irving and Durant play at their best. People are aware about the individual brilliance of each of these players.
However, due to respective injuries do each of these players, Nets fans never got to see them playing alongside each other during the 2019-20 season. Which resulted in the nets not being able to go past the Toronto Raptors in the first round of the playoffs. Nets were clean sweaped 4-0 via the Raptors.
Could Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant be the magical duo for the Nets?
NBA insider Brian Windhorst talked about the Nets as a team in a recent interview.
“I think they are one of the most interesting teams going. Also, we haven’t seen Durant and Kyrie. Now, I have talked to people, who have watched them workout, and they have sent me back blowing reviews. They are like these two are ready to play, but I wanna see it.
“For me, the most interesting team for the next six to months is Brooklyn. What roster they have, how they get together. I mean, that is potentially a potent team with a lot of potholes. I think it’s gonna be a rollercoaster ride with that group.”
Having said that, so far, the duo has had nothing but praise for each other in press conferences and interviews. Which is a sign of good things for the Nets.
But can they translate their off-court wavelength to the court? This remains a major doubt for NBA fans all around the globe.
