The 2025 men’s Money in the Bank ladder match is now in the history books. The likes of Seth Rollins, LA Knight, Andrade, Penta, Solo Sikoa, and El Grande Americano were chasing the glory that eventually went The Visionary’s way. Rollins, already a 5x world champion in WWE, has won this year’s MITB contract, making him a two-time winner. He had done it previously in 2014.

Last night at the Intuit Dome, when things started going south for Rollins, he called out Bron Breakker and “Big” Bronson Reed to wreck the rest of the bodies in the match. They acted on cue and pretty much took out everyone. However, little did they know that Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo would come out next. The Bloodline members went right after Rollins’ henchmen, and a brawl was underway.

Fatu had cleared up the ring for Sikoa to climb the ladder and retrieve the dangling briefcase. Just as the erstwhile Tribal Chief got a hold of it, Fatu grabbed his leg and yelled, “I hate you,” before taking Sikoa out with a superkick. The betrayal was in the cards for months, and WWE finally pulled the trigger on it at Money in the Bank.

During the closing moments, it came down to Knight and Rollins. The Architect slammed the back of The Megastar’s head into a ladder and followed it up with a curb stomp. By then, the entire field was out, and Rollins had all the time in the world to make the MITB briefcase his own, which he did.

Fans justify that Seth Rollins didn’t need to win the Money in the Bank contract

The online reactions to Seth Rollins emerging victorious at Money in the Bank are pretty lopsided, with the majority leaning against it. As evident by the following fan posts on X, they were rooting for LA Knight to win. Last night was The Megastar’s third time competing in such a predicament, but he couldn’t get the job done.

Fans didn’t hold back from letting their frustrations be known about Knight’s WWE booking. They argued that someone like Rollins, who’s already been a top star for the company for a decade, didn’t necessarily need to win the contract. A fan also hailed Solo Sikoa as the MVP of the ladder match due to his hilarious facial expressions and that eventual breakup with Jacob Fatu.

A fan noted that The Visionary deserved to win, especially to capitalize on the faction that he’s carrying around. Rollins, however, couldn’t escape the wrath of the trolls who adjudged him as Seth Hogan, a term that’s in vogue, especially among the online wrestling fans.

It is used to describe a top star getting consistently pushed up the card over younger talent. Rollins doesn’t think highly of Hulk Hogan, the wrestling great he’s being compared with in no good sense.

Roman Reigns’ no-show at Money in the Bank results in Seth Rollins repeating his 2014 exploits

One of the most anticipated things from the show didn’t happen. The majority of the fans were expecting Roman Reigns to show up and cost Seth Rollins the MITB contract. This past Friday on SmackDown, the 39-year-old addressed the pro-Reigns chants and asserted that The Tribal Chief didn’t care about the WWE Universe.

Rollins also quipped that Reigns was on his Island of Relevancy, where The Visionary’s first major recruit, Bron Breakker, sent him packing. For the unversed, The OTC got flattened by Breakker on Raw after WrestleMania 41 and has yet to come back since that moment. The Big Dog was stabbed in the back by his long-standing wiseman Paul Heyman at The Show of Shows in Las Vegas.

Consequently, he succumbed to a pinfall loss to Rollins in a classic three-way also featuring CM Punk. While the latter has continued beefing with Rollins and his hooligans, Reigns doesn’t seem likely to be back on WWE programming before SummerSlam.
