“That tops Austin shaking Vince’s hand”- WWE Universe jaw-dropped by John Cena turning heel on Cody Rhodes to join The Rock at Elimination Chamber
The landscape of WWE has turned upside down with John Cena selling out to The Rock and destroying Cody Rhodes in the process.

No one saw that coming. Picture John Cena sporting a devilish smirk standing beside The Rock inside a WWE ring. That’s not wishful imagining, let alone a fantasy. At the Elimination Chamber PLE on Saturday, The Cenation Leader triumphed inside the chain-linked steel structure, last eliminating CM Punk. What followed that was nothing short of insanity.
Cody Rhodes came out to confront Cena, and before they could get their shtick in, The Rock, accompanied by Travis Scott, made his way out. The Final Boss told Cody that if he accepted his offer, The American Dream would live on forever, or else it’d die. Rhodes claimed that his soul was no longer his because he’d already handed it over to the WWE Universe.
Answering to Rock’s manipulative promises, Cody said, “Rock, go f**k yourself.” It made John chuckle out of apparent admiration for the Undisputed WWE Champion. But little did the audience know that their so-called hero, Cena, was about to hand them the biggest shocker of their wrestling fandom.
one of if not the most jaw dropping ending in history…#WWEChamber pic.twitter.com/ZFQJvbdJYR

The Franchise Player, while hugging Cody, was signaled by Rock the throat-slitting gesture, and its aftermath was unprecedented. John proceeded to low blow Rhodes, and eventually the beatdown was underway. The Babe Ruth of WWE snapped and decked Cody’s skull with multiple smashes courtesy of the WWE belt.
Travis Scott also joined the party along with Cena, and they rendered Rhodes impotent for a ‘Final Boss’ onslaught. The Great One spanked an already-grounded Cody with his custom weight belt. At that point, the former AEW EVP was already bleeding near his eyebrows. The Rogers Centre was in disbelief over what they had just witnessed. The upcoming weeks of WWE programming are bound to be must-see.
Wrestling fans in awe of John Cena turning heel for the first time in over two decades
The ending of this year’s Elimination Chamber premium live event will be remembered for the years to come. The exhilaration of the WWE Universe knows no bounds, as evident by the following reactions on X.

A number of folks opined that John Cena stooping that low trumped Steve Austin joining forces with Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 17. Folks aren’t holding back at all to paint Cena’s alliance with The Rock as even more shocking than Hulk Hogan joining the New World Order, that too by a landslide.
Yep. That tops Austin shaking Vince’s hand.

Easily the most insane ending to a show ever. It will be a LONG time till something of that level happens again. I still can't believe that happened.

One user also posted a hilarious photo of WWE CCO Triple H, demanding an apology from those who’ve been doubting his booking decisions of late. All in all, the follow-up to this masterpiece of a closing angle to Elimination Chamber is highly awaited by the fans. The road to WrestleMania 41 just went up a notch.
