The hype behind Charlotte Flair‘s WWE return wasn’t just confined to the video packages. Instead, it translated into everything she would’ve hoped for. The Queen entered this year’s Royal Rumble match at #27 and ended up as the last woman standing. That’s right, the 14-time Women’s Champion is going to WrestleMania 41.

While doing so, Flair shattered the dreams of a 23-year-old prodigy named Roxanne Perez. The former NXT Women’s Champion got booted in the face, and that was it. As soon as Charlotte won, the near-70k fans at the Lucas Oil Stadium erupted. In the lead-up to the Rumble, a bunch of folks were putting their money on Iyo Sky—who drew No. 1.

However, the Japanese grappler got dumped out in a bizarre way. The Genius of the Sky got eliminated along with a slew of other women, courtesy of Nia Jax. Speaking of some surprise returns, there were actually a few. Alexa Bliss, contrary to what the dirt sheets had to say about her contractual deadlock with WWE, came out to a huge ovation.

Bliss was seen embracing that dark side of hers with Lilly the doll as part of her gimmick. Apart from that, the legendary Trish Stratus also made her presence felt. At #30, Nikki Bella made her WWE return, and she was pumped. It had previously been reported by WrestleVotes that the former Divas Champion was in talks with WWE about an in-ring comeback. It did happen.

Speaking of some glaring omissions, Becky Lynch was nowhere to be found. Almost everyone in attendance, those watching at home, expected her and maybe even go toe-to-toe with Charlotte, the eventual winner. But the wait continues to pile on The Man’s WWE return.

Fans crash out as Charlotte Flair marches on to WrestleMania 41

Now that it’s all said and done, Charlotte Flair is a two-time Royal Rumble match winner. However, that doesn’t seem to sit well with the netizens. The following reactions evince that the majority of the audience is ticked off with Flair’s newest feather in her cap.

The fans are wondering why it needed to happen whilst there were other upstarts to be taken care of. Roxanne Perez went the distance but fell short, much to the agony of the fans. As mentioned above, Iyo Sky’s snub is also under the gun. A ton of comments were directed at WWE CCO Triple H for producing one of the most predictable Rumbles ever.

One fan even pointed out how The Queen was the only woman who received a pyro while entering, and she got over the line. Now that Flair has punched her ticket to WrestleMania, she’s expected to face Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s Championship.
