A joke often floats around in wrestling circles on social media that NXT lead booker Shawn Michaels has a special eye for female stars. He boasts of a track record for signing numerous women’s wrestlers that continue to woo the fans not only because of their in-ring prowess but also by their stunning looks. If there’s one example who fits the description quite aptly on the NXT roster, it’s Stephanie Vaquer.
Last night during SmackDown, when the fans were treated to a slightly underwhelming go-home show for Saturday Night’s Main Event, Vaquer had different plans. She casually dropped a mirror-opposing selfie with her lingerie on. And within minutes of the upload, she was already trending on X. The so-called IWC picked it up, and the photo started making the rounds on the internet.
Vaquer’s getting all the traction she might’ve envisaged before joining WWE. Back in July, it was announced that she had signed with the company. How she landed that deal is quite interesting. The Chilean-Mexican grappler was already in negotiations with WWE while being signed to CMLL.
After she put pen to paper, La Primera had to relinquish the CMLL women’s and tag team titles she was holding at that point in time. Stephanie got into the limelight after wrestling Mercedes Mone at AEW Forbidden Door in June. After that match, there was an internal belief within AEW that she’d end up closing a deal with Tony Khan.
However, in hindsight, she never really considered going that way. Since making her on-screen NXT debut in October, The Dark Angel has only turned the heat on her opponents. She barely missed out on winning last weekend’s high-stakes Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline.

It didn’t take long for the netizens to fall into Stephanie Vaquer‘s thirst trap. The reactions below are hilarious but on the expected lines. A fan apologized to both Rhea Ripley and Tiffany Stratton, changing their preference to Steph in a quite amorous fashion.
A Dominik Mysterio photo also made it to the comments section, where he could be seen enjoying his chicken tenders; with his tongue sticking out. One claimed that they heard rumors of Ripley getting restless to pin Vaquer with the latter’s backside pretzeled as Rhea often does to her opponents.
It goes without saying that there’s no ceiling for La Primera in WWE. At the moment, she’s honing her skillset under Shawn Michaels‘ supervision. It might not take long before she goes on to cater to millions of WWE fans on the main roster.
