In what could be termed a farcical turn of events, Jacob Fatu has now been acquitted of the allegations that were levied on him by Jake’s Network of Hope. A previous associate of the nonprofit organization had posted on Reddit that the WWE Superstar was yet to reimburse over $2600 to the charity. It was paid to him last year to appear at a fundraising event. Fatu didn’t show up, citing a family emergency.

It has now been learned that Jacob had repaid the money he owed to JNOH on June 22. The Wisconsin-based firm admitted to Fightful Select that they’d missed out on the payment. Apart from that, they also wished Fatu the best of luck for his bright future in WWE.

This comes a day after JNOH’s director of development, Jenn Harper, issued a statement via Sports Illustrated that his organization and Fatu were privately resolving the issue. Harper mentioned that the current Bloodline member re-established ties with the nonprofit in May with a heartfelt apology on a phone call. But how did the transaction go unnoticed?

Harper answered it to SI, where he stated that he had stopped using the email address that was linked to his PayPal account. The mail was sent over to that, but Harper wasn’t keeping a check anymore, as mentioned. And hence the error happened. As things stand, the matter is settled. Jacob can now take a sigh of relief.

He’s currently amidst a heated rivalry with the OG Bloodline feat. Roman Reigns and The Usos. The story has picked up steam since Sami Zayn‘s re-insertion into the mix. This Friday on SmackDown, Zayn will confront Reigns and Usos in order to test the waters about a possible reunion.

Fans unite to rain support for Jacob Fatu after JNOH debacle

The entire wrestling community on social media is upset with Jake’s Network of Hope and how they evoked negative press around Jacob Fatu. Most of the fans are hellbent that JNOH should issue a public apology to The Samoan Werewolf.

One even claimed that the 32-year-old wrestler needed to slap the nonprofit organization with the biggest defamation lawsuit ever. Another fan asserted that the firm almost messed up Fatu’s wrestling career with its premature statements.

Some cynics wondered if WWE stepped in and paid the money on Jacob’s behalf to sweep everything under the rug. Anyways, the Anoa’i family member would now hope to make it big in WWE. He’s already caught the eye of the company’s top brass.
