“He needs time to chill”- WWE fans react to Roman Reigns being removed from historic episode of SmackDown next month
The former Bloodline leader looks set to miss weeks of action. He's also been removed from a SmackDown date he was previously advertised for.

It appears like Roman Reigns will continue to be a part-timer in WWE. Having been previously advertised for the September 13 edition of SmackDown, he’s now been removed from the official listing. If it stays that way, it’d be a major jolt for the fans to miss out on his appearance, especially on a night when SmackDown moves back to the USA Network.
This past week on SmackDown, Reigns was manhandled by Jacob Fatu, backed by a 3-on-1 assault by The Bloodline. It was probably done to write him off television for quite a few weeks. Unless things change, The OTC doesn’t seem likely to be back, at least not before September 20. In the meantime, the rogue Bloodline led by Solo Sikoa is expected to bolster its stranglehold on the roster.
This Friday, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga will defend their tag team titles against The Street Profits. If the Bloodline duo gets past the former 3-time Tag Champs, they’d be in for a lengthy run with the gold. Apart from that, WWE is already making long-term plans for a singles match between Roman and Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf has immensely impressed the company’s top brass and is likely to pose a viable threat to Reigns.
Recently, it was reported that the ongoing unrest among the Bloodline members is expected to culminate in a WarGames match at this year’s Survivor Series. And, of course, for that to happen, The Head of the Table needs numbers by his side. There’s heavy speculation in the WWE Universe that Reigns will end up persuading The Usos and Sami Zayn to join forces in order to combat Bloodline 2.0. It would be interesting to see how it goes for the Big Uce.
Fans express concern for Roman Reigns after recent tragedies in his family
Indeed, WWE fans are saddened to learn that Roman Reigns is expected to miss SmackDown’s return to the USA Network. However, Reigns taking a short time off at this point is truly understandable. He just lost his uncle, Afa Anoa’i.
As a result, the 39-year-old would need to be with his family members during this tough time. Fans on X have poured in their support for The Tribal Chief. However, most of them seem disappointed with the halt in his ongoing run.
The wait might be tantalizing, but it’s the need of the hour for the ex-Undisputed WWE Champion to be there for the funeral service of his deceased uncle. Not to forget that he had lost his father too a couple of months ago.
