“Toughest SOB in WWE right now”- Wrestling fans react to Sheamus’ battle scars following brutal Donnybrook match on Raw
Brushing aside the resilience from Pete Dunne, Sheamus scored the decisive win to cap off their hate-filled rivalry on Raw.

This week on Raw, Sheamus came after Pete Dunne with all guns blazing. The two battled it out in a Good’ol Fashioned Donnybrook Match. And despite having his hands zip-tied by Dunne, The Celtic Warrior powered through to deliver the Brogue Kick for the win. However, the Brit didn’t let the Irishman have it easy. As a result, Sheamus’ body took some heavy toll.
Sharing a picture of his bruised back on X, the former World Champion finally gave Pete Dunne his flowers, saying that he has earned his respect. Sheamus also affirmed that Butch is dead, a nickname that’s been the triggering point for the Englishman these past few weeks. The former Brawling Brutes stablemates had a trifecta of matches, with the veteran edging out his ex disciple by 2-1.
Having said that, the feud between the two is seemingly over. However, there’s a lot they can achieve by treading on different paths. For Pete, he’s just had a stellar rivalry with one of the most decorated WWE Superstars of all time. The Bruiserweight has shown of late that he can hang in there. It’d be interesting to see what will be his next target on the red brand.
On the other hand, Sheamus doesn’t have anything left to prove to anyone. However, from a career standpoint, he can add a few more feathers to his cap. The Great White has had a long-standing yearn for holding the Intercontinental Championship. It’s the only title that has eluded him his entire career.
Over the past couple of years, the 46-year-old has come tantalizingly close to completing a career grand slam in WWE. But, the then-champion, Gunther, didn’t allow The Celtic Warrior to run away with the IC title.
Fans in awe of Sheamus’ stellar showing on this week’s Raw
Ever since returning to WWE in April this year, Sheamus has delivered some of the most entertaining matches on television. It hasn’t been lost on the fans, who’ve lauded the 4-time World Champion for putting his body on the line yet again in last night’s Donnybrook match on Raw.
In the aforementioned post he made on X, his comments section was flooded with responses. Almost everyone seemed to agree that he had a banger of a match with Pete Dunne.
A moment came where the former League of Nations member delivered a White Noise to Pete on tables placed at ringside off stacked whiskey barrels. That maneuver opened up a cut on Sheamus’ right elbow that was leaking blood. But it wasn’t enough to tame him down.
