Sean O’Malley was not lying when he said he made Alexandre Pantoja quit during sparring. The bantamweight champion recently released a short clip of their sparring on X. The two champions have recently been going back and forth with each other. However, is this decisive proof that Alexandre Pantoja had been lying all this while?
Sean O’Malley recently released a short video of his sparring session with Alexandre Pantoja from back in 2016. The video was posted on X. In the caption, he wrote: “1st round Tko 2016. undefeated. Henry in his corner he was crying.”
The video showed that O’Malley kicked Pantoja to the body. It was a brutal left leg to the body and Pantoja seemed to have defended it. However, he kept his distance when O’Malley approached him. Moving around the octagon, Pantoja finally gave up and the two touched gloves.
They looked very young in the video. If the video is from 2016, then the two fighters had not even joined the UFC back then. They have been going back and forth for a while. Pantoja had challenged O’Malley to release the sparring footage. It will be interesting to hear what Pantoja had to say about this video.
