Fastest century in Vitality T20 Blast: List of top five fastest centuries in England T20 league

Glamorgan’s Chris Cooke was in some serious form on Wednesday (31 May) as the South African hit a 38-ball century during his team’s game against Middlesex in the 21st edition of Vitality T20 Blast. Cooke was also on the verge of scripting history as he could have become the batter to hit the fastest century in Vitality Blast. The right-handed batter was in no mood to hold back as he thrashed the Middlesex bowlers all around the park. Cooke ended his innings with an unbeaten 113 to his name which he scored off 41 balls. Cooke hit twelve boundaries and seven sixes in his inning. 

This inning from Cooke made fans jump out of their seats and also look out for the fastest centuries scored in the history of the tournament. Although it was a monumental effort from Cooke, the Glamorgan batter could not even break into the list of the top five batters with the fastest centuries in the T20 Blast. 

Cooke had to achieve the milestone in 37 balls to hold the record for the third-fastest century in tournament history.

Who has scored the fastest century in Vitality Blast?

Sean Abbott holds the record for the joint-fastest century in Vitality Blast, having reached the milestone in 34 balls in this edition itself. Abbott had scored 110* off 41 balls against Kent while playing for Surrey. The other names on the list include former Australian cricketer Andrew Symmonds as well as Dan Christian.
