From the time World No.1, Novak Djokovic started dominating the ATP tour, winning tournaments and topping the ranking charts, he has been seen as one of the prime contenders to finish his career with a bunch of records.

Over the past few years, the Serb has not only dethroned his arch-rivals, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal off the top perch, but has also beaten them consistently across surfaces. Simply put, he has a superior head-to-head edge over the duo.

Currently, he has 18 Majors in his kitty. The Davis Cup, and is also the only player to win all the ATP Masters 1000. Furthermore, he also became the only player in the modern era to hold all the Slams together (2015-16).

While the tennis world is firmly spilt on the GOAT debate, there is little to suggest that Djokovic won’t walk away with bragging rights in time to come.

However, countryman and friend, Filip Krajinovic is of the firm opinion that Novak deserves the title more than anyone else.

As reported, Krajinovic expressed, “Djokovic is the GOAT. I first played Novak at 11 years of age when I was very young. There was a lot of pressure and I was not able to sleep the day before.”

The two have met three times on the tour with the senior Serb leading 2-1.

Currently, Djokovic is playing the ongoing Serbia Open, where he will take on the Russian, Aslan Karatsev in the semifinals today.
