In August this year, Dominik Mysterio betrayed Rhea Ripley after being together for more than a year. It was a shocker not only for Mami but also for the fans as well. Now, months later, the man who played a major role in this betrayal has finally revealed why he convinced Dom to betray the Eradicator.
The star in the spotlight is Finn Balor, who confronted Ripley backstage this week on Raw. The Prince had a war of words with Mami, where he revealed it was him playing the devil all along. He said he was the one who persuaded ‘Dirty’ Dom to join forces with Liv Morgan. In fact, he was the person who suggested the plan to backstab Ripley and Priest.
You know when Liv was putting moves on Dom and Dom was trying to resist? I was the devil on Dom's shoulder. I told him to go with Liv. I told him to forget about you. It was me.Finn Balor to Rhea Ripley on Raw
Moreover, the former Universal Champion was more confident than ever. The revelation even left Ripley flabbergasted. Following this rugged interaction, The Judgment Day member caused havoc in the main event of the show. Balor, alongside JD McDonagh, Carlito, Dominik Mysterio, and Liv Morgan, decimated The Terror Twins after another brutal beatdown.
Balor has a mega match ahead of him. He is set to face Damian Priest at Bad Blood. It is going to be the first encounter between the two former friends following the betrayal by Balor at SummerSlam. It is going to be interesting to see how things are going to transpire after the shocking revelation by the 43-year-old.
Finn Balor and JD McDonagh defeated The New Day in their first ever title defense
Finn Balor and JD McDonagh won the World Tag Team Championship in June. For the last 80+ days, they have been champions without even defending them once. Following the criticism by fans, they defended the titles this week on Raw.
Balor and JD, representing The Judgment Day, had quite an incredible showing against the New Day. The two stars put on a show and sneaked away a victory against the veteran team. With that successful defense, the champions have solidified themselves on Raw.
Moreover, Balor has been on a roll lately. He has been working as the leader of the group, and it seems like there is a lot to be explored from his character in the days to come. Only time will tell who will stop this dominant team of McDonagh and the Prince on the red brand.
