- Finn Balor has officially parted ways with the Judgment Day faction after 1,372 days.
- JD McDonagh turned on Balor, accusing him of having an ego and lying about the group's family dynamic.
- Damian Priest commented on Balor's betrayal, referencing their past conflicts within the faction.
WWE finally pulled the trigger on Finn Balor‘s dissociation from the Judgment Day on this week’s Raw. It was long overdue. Now that Balor has had the time to let it sink in, the 44-year-old has broken silence through a social media post. As one could see below, ‘The Prince’ simply wrote 1372 in the caption with a completely black image attached.
For those confused about it, Balor just mentioned the number of days he was a part of the Judgment Day faction. He joined it in June 2022 in a segment that saw Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley kick out Edge, aka Adam Copeland, the then-leader of the group. In addition to the tenure he made a mention of, the all-black picture likely suggests that Balor views his time in the faction as an indictment on his career.

As CM Punk told the Irishman to his face, the Judgment Day had dragged him down to their level when a veteran of Balor’s caliber should’ve been able to level them up. ‘The Second City Saint’ didn’t mince his words when he told the former Bullet Club leader to ditch the villainous crew if he wanted to put some championship gold around his waist in 2026.
And after what happened on this week’s Raw, it rekindled hopes among fans that Finn Balor could make this year a memorable one for himself. One of the men who was expected to stick by Balor through thick and thin decided to turn on Balor, and he’s none other than JD McDonagh. ‘The Irish Ace’ sided with the Judgment Day and helped Dominik Mysterio inflict a pure beating on the inaugural Universal Champion.
It was Balor only who brought McDonagh to the Judgment Day in 2023. So what made the erstwhile Jordan Devlin turn on his mentor-cum-friend? McDonagh claimed through a post on X that Balor lied to the entire faction about being a family to them when all he had was an ego the entire time.
You lied to all of us for months. You got an ego. You wanted to be the leader. You played games. That's never been what the Judgment Day has been about. You used to know that.

Judgment Day is my family and if anybody dares to try to step on any of them, you get stomped out. pic.twitter.com/YeLmRUFL3r
The 35-year-old asserted that Balor wanted to be a leader, something that McDonagh said had never been the motto of their group. ‘The Irish Ace’ pledged by the Judgment Day to be his family and dared to stomp out anybody who would try to harm them.
Damian Priest reacts to Finn Balor receiving his judgment on Raw
Shortly after Finn Balor got kicked out of the Judgment Day, a former member of the group, viz., Damian Priest, posted his response on X. ‘The Archer of Infamy’ said, “Sucks doesn’t it?” By the looks of it, the former World Heavyweight Champion was trying to remind Balor of something that he did to Priest at SummerSlam in 2024.

At the event, ‘The Prince’ had turned his back on ‘The Wepa King’ and cost him the world title against Gunther. Now seeing the rest of Judgment Day doing the same thing to Balor must’ve felt cathartic to Priest. JD McDonagh interestingly quoted a reply to Priest’s aforementioned post, saying, “Ask Edge.”

‘The Irish Ace’ was obviously referring to that point in time when Priest, Balor, and Rhea Ripley turned on the ‘Rated-R Superstar’. Also, in a fascinating observation, Dominik Mysterio, who was terrorized to join the Judgment Day by Balor, Priest, and Ripley, is the only one remaining in the faction, while the other three original members are now out. What does it entail for Finn Balor?
Great execution of the Judgement Day/Balor split. Finn needed it and has a load of momentum after the Punk programme. Him vs Dom at Mania will be A LOT of fun. Feel like a babyface Balor run could be a lot of fun after almost four years as a heel pic.twitter.com/uCDlLKOLPP

He’s currently outnumbered against his former family, and he might need to summon his alter ego to combat them. The fans are heavily expecting to see Finn Balor bring back his demon persona to take on Mysterio at WrestleMania. ‘The Demon’ gimmick hasn’t seen the light of day since its loss to Edge inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania 39.
