Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya are not known to be the best of friends. Their long-standing rivalry in the boxing community is well known. Interestingly, even after many years, they still haven’t reconciled. Recently, De La Hoya openly shared his thoughts on Mayweather’s recent exhibition bouts. In doing so, he also gave some fruitful advice to the 47-year-old.

Floyd Mayweather recently fought an exhibition bout in Mexico against John Gotti III, where ‘Money May’ came out victorious. The fight had several intriguing moments that caught everyone’s attention, including Oscar De La Hoya’s. In the recent video of Clap Back Thursday, De La Hoya made a mockery out of that viral moment. Not only that, but he was also concerned about Mayweather ruining his boxing legacy.

According to Oscar De La Hoya, exhibition fights don’t generate the same level of excitement as Mayweather’s professional fights. De La Hoya believes that this could lead to Mayweather’s remarkable boxing career being forgotten by the public.
