Iceland have not had a qualifying campaign so far and are in fifth place with just 4 points from the six games played. Iceland have recorded only a single win and that was against Liechtenstein when they won the game 4-1. However they made a late comeback against North Macedonia scoring two goals in the last fifteen minutes of the game to come from 2-0 down to level matters at 2-2 and share the points on the night. That was then followed by a 4-0 loss to group leaders Germany. Iceland now face Armenia in their next game.

Meanwhile their opponents, Armenia are in second place with 11 points from their first six games. However they’re winless in their last three games after registering trio of wins in their first three games. They were trashed 6-0 by group leaders Germany and have a draw on either side of that result with North Macedonia and Liechtenstein respectively. Armenia will surely want to get back to winning ways and keep chasing leaders Germany who are on 15 points at the moment.
