Cristiano Ronaldo won the the coveted accolade of the Serie A Best Striker, after a season which he saw him finishing top scorer in the League with 29 goals in 33 appearances, as he helped Juventus to a fourth placed finish in the Serie A. The Portuguese leapfrogged the likes of Inter’s Romelu Lukaku, who was second in the scoring standings with 24 goals and AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who had found the net 15 times in the Italian top flight.

Ronaldo finished a mediocre season for Juventus, where helped his team to the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana triumphs with his three goals in the two respective finals but saw them crashing out of Champions League in the round of 16 to Porto and losing their Serie A crown to Inter Milan.

The best goalkeeper of the season award went to AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, whose tally of 14 clean sheets was level with Inter’s Samir Handanovic for most in the league. Donnarumma is set to leave the Rossoneri this summer after his contract expired and has already been replaced by Lille shotstopper Mike Maignan.
