Crystal Palace has been on the hunt for manager since Roy Hodgson decided to call it a day at the end of last season. They had a verbal agreement with former Dortmund manager Lucien Favre, but Favre sensationally turned them down citing reasons that he wants time off from football, and since then the Selhurst Park outfit have been on their man hunt for their new manager until recently today, they have an agreement with Arsenal Legend Patrick Vieira.

According to reports by David Ornstein from The Athletic, The Eagles have a principle agreement in place with Patrick Vierra to be their manager for the next season. The reports say that Vierra has not signed a contract yet, but the expected parties are confident that the deal will go through and an official announcement is just around the corner.

Crystal Palace begin their preparation for the 2021-22 season next week, and Vierra is in the process of applying for a visa and is confident that he can take over the first training session from next Monday.

Palace was linked with Frank Lampard and Eddie Howe has potential replacement but has settled on the 45 year old Frenchman.

Earlier managerial experience of Patrick Vieira includes a stint with Ligue 1 side Nice and MLS side New York City FC. He has been out of management since December 2020 and has been working as a pundit on ITV for EURO 2020.

Patrick Vieira had won three league titles with Arsenal as a player and led them to their ‘invincible’ campaign in 2004. It will be interesting to see if Vieira can make Palace reach greater heights and improve on the 14th place finish last season.
