Dele Alli pens an emotional goodbye to the Tottenham Hotspur fans as he joins Everton after 7 years at the club

Dele Alli has joined Everton permanently on a two and a half year contract after leaving Tottenham Hotspur after 7 years at the club. The England international is looking to reignite his career and get some game time under new Everton boss Frank Lampard as he joins the Toffees.
Newly appointed Everton manager Frank Lampard has been quick to make some signings after he was appointed just 2 days back. The former Chelsea manager signed his Everton contract for 2 and a half years and is already making some changes in the squad.
Donny van de Beek signed for the Toffees on a 6 month loan from Manchester United in search of some game time whereas Dele Alli was signed on permanent basis by Lampard on Deadline Day to have some squad depth and creativity in the midfield in the hopes of getting out of the relegation zone.
Dele Alli made 269 appearances for Spurs and scored 67 goals, including 51 in the Premier League. Both Dele Alli and Donny van de Beek can make their debuts for the Toffees in the Premier League next Tuesday when Lampard’s team faces fellow relegation candidates Newcastle United.

Dele Alli on leaving Tottenham Hotspur to join Everton:
Dele Alli joined Everton from Tottenham Hotspur on Deadline Day after signing a two and a half year contract with the club. The England international will be looking to get game time under new Toffees boss Frank Lampard and reignite his hopes of getting in the England squad for the upcoming World Cup.
Alli told journalists that Frank Lampard’s influence was the major factor in convincing himself to join the club after he his Tottenham Hotspur had been stalled for the last 2 years under Jose Mourinho and the current Spurs boss Antonio Conte. However, Alli wrote an emotional goodbye to the Spurs fans after leaving the club on Deadline Day.
Dele Alli said,” It is the end of a chapter but not the book. Thank you all for the messages. I have had an incredible 7 years at Tottenham Hotspur and have made some lifelong friends that now feel like family. I want to wish my brothers all the best for the rest of the season and more.”
The England international added,” To the fans, I want to say thank you. We have had some incredible moments together that will stay with me for the rest of my life and I will never forget the amazing support you have given me. Playing for you was a dream come true, you will always be in my heart.”
Alli also said,” I want to give a special mention to Mauricio Pochettino and his staff for their trust and guidance in the early part of my career at Spurs, which gave me the confidence and platform to show what I can do. I love you all and wish you the best for the future!”
