The battle between the top European clubs to bring Erling Haaland will be intense with FC Barcelona looking to go all out for the striker in the summer. It is understood that Haaland is a ’dream’ signing for club president Joan Laporta and he along with the Catalan club will do everything to bring the 21-year old to Camp Nou next season.
It was a successful January transfer window for Barcelona as they signed Ferran Torres from Manchester City and also loan moves for Adama Traore and Aubameyang. Dani Alves also made a return to club to help them reached the top once again. With the January signings and the La Masia prospects Barcelona have finally regained their form and are upto fourth place in the league after back to back wins against Atletico Madrid and Valencia. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made his mark scoring his first hattrick in Blaugrana colors against Valencia last weekend.
With the team already looking good the top priority is now to get Erling Haaland in the summer and to fund that move Barcelona are also working on free transfers for Chelsea duo Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen. Haaland’s €75 million release clause at Borussia Dortmund will be active in the summer and FC Barcelona will be ready to face some serious competitions from the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
It will be a tough ask for FC Barcelona to get Haaland with other European giants also looking to acquire the Norwegian’s services given the current financial situation at Barcelona. However the club president Joan Laporta wants to prove that they’re still capable of competing with the best teams in the world.
